As I said in my last post, we used the new macbooks to research Francophone countries and make powerpoint presentations in French 3 acc. Some kids tried out keynote, and some used google docs. Making accents with keyboard shortcuts is really easy with the macs, so that is one thing that is now easier about [...]

We recently got a mobile mac lab with 20 computers in Newell, along with new, fast wifi for them.  It is wonderful!  Our old lab was so slow that it was pretty much unusable.  My French 3 acc classes have been working on PowerPoints of Francophone countries, and French 3 standard has been using googledocs [...]

I’m enjoying the flip cameras, but i need some training with imovie. We are getting some mac training in our dept soon, so hopefully imovie will be a part of that! I’d like to do more projects with kids recording themselves with the flip cam this semester. I’m hoping to work that into French 3 [...]

Too. Cool.

I have been searching for a way to give my students a way to listen to the daily vocabulary at home. During the semester I have tried, with Josh’s considerable help, to devise a delivery system. I thought I was all set but then I found this other website that creates flash cards with sound. [...]

Digital documents are created with many different programs. Many of my students use various versions of MS Office and some use Open Office. Others use Mac Pages and some use Wordpad. Over the years I have become pretty good at dealing with just about any kind of file format that’s thrown at me. I know [...]
