2 free apps for Academy Library services

eBooks from the Academy’s Digital Media Library are very easy to download and a pleasure to read on iPads.

Favorite fun reads for freshman students include the Harry Potter series (also available in French and Spanish) and other top-rated YA fiction (Flanagan, Riordan, etc.) and award-winning adult non-fiction. The Hobbit will be popular with the December release of Peter Jackson’s movie. Go to the official App Store and get the free app OVERDRIVE Media Console

Another free app at the APP store is DESTINY QUEST. This app allows you to see what books and DVDs the library has and whether they are checked out or not. If you register for an account, you can also get information about your own checkouts and due dates and put books and DVDs on hold.

Both these apps are available for iPad or iPhone.
