11:28 am Tech Updates
As part of the ATT’s efforts to increase post-tech training day collaboration, I thought it would be helpful for everyone to know what other people found most useful of all the things they learned that day. Here you go:
“Edmodo was a really cool program to explore and I’d like to explore that more.”
“Prezi – I found some great ideas for my classes and like the idea of an alternative to PowerPoint.”
“About class websites as an option (GSites)”
“I appreciated both presenters starting off with “why” and “how” they use the specific technologies and the excellent examples of how they actually use the things they were showing us; it was very grounded in practical applications; I got lots of good ideas of how to use what we were learning.”
“Handouts for all three sessions were truly excellent; real keepers!”
“The scope of Edmodo – especially that it now includes seamless integration with google docs/drive.”
“The google docs stuff clarified how I can better use this resource. I really liked the prezi info as well”
“I learned how to use edmodo, more about the portal, and about setting up an educational web site. Now I can help my students use these programs better and more efficiently.”
“Web hosting site information, google doc info”
“How to use some of the different platforms where I might post class material, such as edmodo and google sites.”
“Audacity”
“Some details about how to use google docs”
“That I am not the only one on campus that is soooo technically challenged- it can be very intimidating and your workshops (at least the ones I attended) got me through it!!!”
“How relatively easy it is to set up a website. Wish it had been that easy in the mid-1990s. LOL ;-)”
“That tech training days are useful!”
“The custom websites class was the most interesting.”
“Learning to use google doc and sites”
“Google docs, form and ho ow to setup up sites from google”
“How to “generate” silence on an audacity project”
“I feel much better about using the portal.”
“That I need a lot more training”
“Edmodo is a good site. I enjoyed playing with that site the most but I think I am going to try to utilize the portal this semester and see how that goes.”
“I found the information about Prezi and Google sites to be useful.”
“Making a google site”
“I had never used apple equipment before. I at least can now navigate around on it.”
“New tool – Prezi!”
“I learned that prezi can adapt existing power points and store them online in an easily accessible and somewhat cooler looking way. I also learned that creating a prezi from scratch isn’t as difficult as I thought it might be.”
“I learned about a couple of programs that can be useful to kids.”
“Prezi, website creation”
