+TECH TRAINING DAY 2012 POSTGAME
Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm during today’s first Tech Training Day! I saw lots of great tech socialization and heard many great questions! Keep it up.
All of the handouts from today’s sessions along with all of the sessions descriptions are online right here:
Thanks for bearing with some of the initial hiccups that occurred during the day. As we run more and more of these sessions — we hope to run at least one Tech Training Day per semester — they will get smoother and prove to be even more useful.
If you have any interest in having the Academic Technology Team rerun any of these sessions in the coming months, please let me know.
While your memory of the sessions is fresh, it would be greatly appreciated if you took a few minutes to fill out the Tech Training Day evaluation survey:
I am working to get the YOG error fixed. (All students have YOGs that are 3 too high.) It should be fixed soon.
Please take a minute to login to the portal and check your class pages. Please let me know if you see any issues. My goal is to run system-wide portal info updates at least once every three days for the next 2 weeks, and at least once every 5 days after that.
All student accounts, even existing accounts, have had their passwords reset to a random password. Therefore, students will not be able to login to the portal until they have received their new password. I will be putting login information letters into advisor mailboxes tomorrow.
+STJLABS GOOGLE APPS
In an effort to get more kids into the system, and to smooth out the password changing mayhem that comes at the beginning of every school year, I have decided to reset ALL student STJLabs Google Apps passwords.
Therefore, students will not be able to login to the portal until they have received their new password. I will be putting login information letters into advisor mailboxes tomorrow.
Thank you again for being so committed to today’s tech training sessions!
